Love Reverie

I love you.
It’s because I don’t know you,
I don’t know who you are
And your ways are an enigma to me.
It’s a habit
to imagine, to wish and long for the man in my dreams,
I’d probably hate you if I knew you
in this reality _
It’s a habit to love you –
like this nobody judges, nobody suffers, nobody smiles
in complicity
And nobody dies for anyone.
It’s a habit, don’t judge me,
To love what I think of you,
I’d probably hate you if I knew you,
I know just a few bits _
I can create the perfect you in my head
and the parts of you that I’d hate,
They can fade away
Only like this.
I’d probably hate you if I knew you
But I don’t –
The real you is so far away!
We don’t know each other,
It’s a habit to love you_
Like this nobody ever suffers.
We don’t know each other,
That’s the trick –
It’s a habit _
I love you!
