Prometheus and Epimetheus

Prometheus and Epimetheus

written by: Naheed Akhtar

Heart’s longing, the Epimetheus,
As sharp as the northern winds
Fall in December and January,
Roved with the rain laden cloud within it
Entertaining yesterday and last week,
For hundreds of hundred years

When cognition,
Like the invincible Prometheus who
Resided on the mountain top
And thought of the future,
Retires to cease the eternal rain

They ‘re not brothers here
There is war betwix’ them
