Quiver of Fortune

Quiver of Fortune

written by: Juliya Susan Jose

I couldn’t restrain the tremble
That is driving through my vein
It makes me shiver all over
The palpitation due to excitement
I’m out of words
at this pursuit of happiness.
Is this a thing of joy
To be admired upon?

Mumbling in extreme awe
Shuddering at the silhouette
My eyes twitched and fluttered
At the unanticipated gain.
I’m uncertain at times
But I’m forging ahead
Swaddled up so closely
Within the aura of invisible.

Is it worth for an adrenaline rush?
If you’re not even aware of
how the other side swings.
How come you identify
Whether it’s your cup of tea?
Expectation doesn’t always make wonders
It plays a game of procrastination
With our unpredictable life.
