Someone’s Knocking

Someone’s Knocking

written by: Troy Allen Houston

In heaven I keep my treasure chest,
opened only to determine my final rest.
Will it be in Hades in fire and brimstone,
or maybe in utter darkness where I’ll be alone?
These are not the places that I desire,
a place where there is eternal fire.
The beautiful place I have in mind,
I looked inside my heart to find.
I heard a loud knock at my heart’s door,
when opened the beauty I saw I couldn’t ignore.
I invited the person standing there in,
how I felt the love radiate within.
Jesus said to me, “Child just confess and repent.”
On my knees the next few hours were spent.
Confessing all the sin I had done,
accepting Jesus as Christ, Lord, and Son.
Jesus then told me, “Your sins have been forgiven.”
Shining His light on me, telling me, “Start living,
I want you to spread my Word,
about the knock that you have heard.
Tell them that their treasure is safe with me,
I didn’t come to condemn, but to set free.
Preparing a place for them to live,
this treasure, to them I freely give.”
So, if you hear someone knocking on your heart,
open it, this is where your life will start.
