The Candle Still Exists

The Candle Still Exists

written by: Elena Francesca

Pieces of a timeline that fit, but then they don’t if they drop
Ragged edges blur the lines
Like teardrops blur the vision
Clarity comes in the ethereal
Only the problem remains among the mud
Glimpses and glimmers
Good can elevate
Candle flickers to the right
Soothing lake of wax warmly settles
Like a blanket around the wick
The flame is moved by my aura
It is a horse galloping through a field
Where is the destination?
What is the end game?
The softness of fragrance
Cleanses the air
Dropping into the senses
Soothing the chakras
Closed eyes bring the circle
The circle of life that is nature’s reveal
The frequency of peace
And the sound of chaos
Peace spirals the chaos and transmutes it
When the candle burns to the end
The candle still exists
Notice the fragrance is more than memory
Recall its tangibility
The flame’s job was simply to exist
When the flame appears to be released,
The smoke carries its essence into the air.
You take in its breath.
Its essence is in you now.
How will you reverberate from your soul?
For now, you are the candle
And the candle still exists.
