The Dance of the Flowers

Alive in the sunshine warm
Adorn the meadow greens
The tulips have flipped
their petal skirts inside out
The sunflowers bow to the ground
as they twist and turn
The daffodils toss their head
for their twisted leaf dance
The roses drop their guard
their soul bared to the world
The magnolias with noble poise
blossom with open arms welcome
Drinking the wild air
Filled with the summer scent.
I am very new to the world of poetry. I started writing poetry the Spring of 2018. I work in healthcare and live in Dallas, Texas in United States.
