The Journey

The Journey

written by: Sara Ali

In the darkness of the soul, a seed is sown,
A fragile delicate tiny which yearns to be known;
It fights its way through the deeps of the earth,
Yearning and Wanting to find a place of its worth.

The journey is long, and the road so unyielding,
A quest for truth in a world that is shielding;
In darkness and despair, by fear and scare and doubt,
And the echoes of the past which do shriek and shout.

Yeah so true, every growth is a battle, a war surely to be won,
A struggle against the nightfall, just abort of all once done;
To rise above the shadows, to transcend all the painful pain,
And emerge into the light, feeling beautiful and whole again.
