The Power of Nature

The Power of Nature

A fleeting whim
a tainted mind
feels similar to the cloudy skies
grayness thickens
vision turns blind

dullness seems like
the normal theme
sometimes
someone’s nightmare
maybe someone else’s dream

ego breeds a thirst for greed
moisture feeds dark clouds
and blocks out the sun’s reach

a wise old oak tree disagrees
and greets the life-giving raindrops
that rejuvenate its wilted leaves
