The Silent Gun
written by: Juliet Villar
Beware of him who smiles
Not opening his lips
He might be hiding his fangs
Beware of him who approaches you
With one or both hands behind his back
He might be holding a knife
Beware of him who brings you an umbrella during the rain
He might be stopping blessings from heaven that are rightfully yours
Beware of him who offers you a cake full of icing and cream
Inside of it might be pieces of broken glass
Beware of him who constantly asks about your plans
He might be someone else’s lens
Beware of him who cannot climb on top with his own strength
He might use a two-legged stair with a tail
Beware of him who helps you get up
From a bullet wound
He might own a shop that sells armory
Beware of him who always checks on your weight
You might be his long-awaited meals
Beware of him who waits for your saliva in your sleep
He might use it to lubricate a rusted key to the door of his heaven
Beware of him who always brings you gifts
He might be a celebrity from Greece….
