The Snow

The Snow

Freedom, sweetness, love to you
I can’t believe the rent is due
I can’t believe I have no power

I can’t imagine any better
Migraine days and sweater weather
I can’t believe there is no meaning

Bodies break and spirits suffer
Kids go home and have no supper
Louring skies are always looming
Media are always booming

Dr. Michael needs a hero
To reduce to less than zero
I can’t believe there is no Santa

The tension must be good for me
My eyes are weak, I cannot see
My mind is always overcast
I can’t believe this dream will last

The sheet is smeared with someone’s essence
I guess I’ve finally learned my lesson
I can’t believe there is no meaning

I was always parasite
Five foot three and two feet white
I feel the cold come in the window
Naked skin can feel the wind blow

I can’t believe I’m not alone
And love for you is all I’ve known
Freedom, sweetness, love to you
I can’t believe that dreams come true

ENVOI

Mistakes are made to last forever
I can’t believe there’s nothing better
I’ll take you with me when I go
Because you found me in the snow
