The Tiny Yellow Flower

The Tiny Yellow Flower

written by: Ruchi Srivastava

From under the concrete pathway
grew a tiny wild flower
Bright and yellow
swaying in the breeze
trying to say
Hey! Cheer up, you fellow.

The pavement is full of people
walking to and fro
I hope the flower doesn’t get trampled
It’s trying to show
You need to be cheerful
for as long as you grow.

Life is short
Let’s learn from the tiny yellow flower
To share a smile and laughter
B’coz it has the magical power
To lift the spirits of everyone
And make their day brighter!
