Watcher

Watcher

written by: Ginny M. Jones

She’s a watcher now
Fellow man she observes
Her truths are dao
She gives all she deserves

Dives deep in your eyes
Windows of the soul
Therein no disguise
Your value she beholds

She’s a watcher now
Salt of the earth
To you she will vow
The measure of your worth

Words all but hollow
No more than easy speak
The actions that follow
Are that which she seeks

She’s a watcher now
Behind the curtains’ fall
No longer kowtowed
She will volley your ball

Wise to the game
Returns what is served
To them goes the shame
Her love in reserve

She’s a watcher now
Fellow man she observes
Her truths are dao
She gives all she deserves
