Who Cursed You in Silence?

 Who Cursed You in Silence?

written by: Mukelabai Kolomu

What can you do with this curse?
When it has taken its price higher than the butterflies.
And you are just a poor customer who can’t afford its price.
How are you going to pull down the curtains like the butterflies in the sky?

Is this curse tearing you apart?
Is this why nobody cares about you and your broken soul?
Who stole your breath of success in the night?
Who cursed you in silence?

Did a curse in silence bury your destiny in the graveyard?
Why does your shadow hide your true reflection?
Is it a result of the silent curse?

You carry pain like a casket.
Who cursed you in silence?
Lying in wait like a thorn
Left on the ground
Wounded and forlorn.

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

This poem is a reflection of my own struggles with feelings of inadequacy, self-doubt, and the search for Identity. I wanted to capture the pain and desperation that comes with feeling lost and alone, and the longing to break free from the curse.
