Xmas Letter

Seasons greetings to one and all,
friends and family, short and tall.
It’s been a busy year once again
so time to get out my paper and pen.
We hope everyone has been quite well.
We have so much of our news to tell.
Nothing like the holidays I swear
to put us back in the mood to share.
Aunt Mabel had one of her legs removed
to stave off flesh-eating bugs, she improves.
She’s returned to her usual jovial self,
cracking jokes like an irrepressible elf.
Uncle Frank bought an old Toyota sedan
after smashing his new Porsche into a van.
It’s a little more sedate, we know,
intended to get around, and less for show.
Timmy’s transition is now complete.
He’s Tammy no more, still happy and sweet.
He just might graduate high school this year
then off to find himself a career.
Susie is no longer a hypnotist,
switching gears as a numismatist.
We guess she’s happy, hard to say,
buried in musty coins all day.
Billy has stopped wetting his bed,
so our trips have gotten the go-ahead.
His therapist has done such wonders,
now he only pees when it thunders.
On our third cruise earlier this year
We met a couple we found so dear.
We bought a house big enough for us all,
come visit and meet Sally and Paul.
They bring great passion into our lives
and help maintain Martha’s beehives.
If two can live together cheaper than one,
imagine four of us and what can be done.
The Costa Rican jungle has been so great
though sweltering all day until it gets late.
Panthers run wild here like squirrels there,
we just carry our guns everywhere.
It turns out being fired has its own rewards
I have much more time than I had before.
My lawsuit against my boss didn’t get very far,
but we manage ok after I sold my car.
Martha says she misses her office. Right!
Nothing to complain about to me each night.
She has taken up making all of our clothes,
but we don’t need much the way it goes.
If you have a chance, drop us a line.
We hope you’re all doing just as fine.
Stop by if you travel to San Jose.
We’re three hours south and a ferry away.
Best wishes for all each and every holiday!
