2020

2020

written by: Bill Fuller

2020 came in with a vengeance
It’s literally choking us to death
the viruses that surrounded the world
are squeezing our last breath
Be it man or made by us
the fault is plain to see
we are all being held a hostage
In a world that’s supposed to free
Don’t say this year
Don’t say it’s name
we all know just what you mean
we were all too comfortable
when it came and crushed our dreams
Sickness or brutality take your pick
or maybe both
fighting an endless battle against ourselves
we’re stunting our own growth
More scars upon the human race
the heart of humanity breaks in two
step up, take part and find a cure
the answers are in me and you
It’s never been so apparent
that the time for change is now
The way we eat and how we behave
It surely shouldn’t be allowed
You can change the laws
in all the lands
and you can alter how we pray
but there’ll be no hope for anyone
until we change our ways.
