NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: The words of the haiku, spread out across a landscape-oriented surface in a parade of mismatched fonts and colours. The background includes a yellow, circular glow in the centre, blending to orange, pink, purple, and blue as the colours go outward. They are applied in marker strokes, sprayed with water so that they run outward. Here and there, figures dance and pose, and creatures make themselves seen. Sources for the collage material include the program for the 2022 Halifax Fringe Festival and a promotional leaflet for Fat Chance Bellydance.
