No, I don’t need shoes
I waited three years
A pandemic
And a postpartum hemorrhage to see sweet Snow again
I’ll stand here long enough for her to bite my toes, thank you
Frost, made scarce, is longed for
Finally, I have escaped
Finally, I know that those four walls didn’t keep my soul within
The Snow, silent and unusual in Southern England
Makes it so
In a way, the sands of Changle never could
