Eternal Hypocrisy

Eternal Hypocrisy

written by: NilavroNill Shoovro

I didn’t see you there
With your usual smile
And those blinking eyes
Scanning the entire gathering

I didn’t see you speaking
With your usual confidence
And those black humors
Hypnotizing the entire audience

I didn’t see you corresponding
With your usual questions
And those thunderous punning
Echoing all around the auditoriums

Yet your whole face
Like the cloudy nights
And those uncertain stares
Holding back many essentials…

And the octaves of your speeches
Like any magician’s wand
High or low, up and down
Fooling everybody around you

Yet all your efforts were
Too busy to conceal everything
All those conflicts of mind, ego
And our eternal hypocrisy…
