Let There Be Peace

Let There Be Peace

written by: Indu Nautiyal

Here I am to sing a prayer,
To the gracious God above,
To bless our beautiful planet,
With everlasting peace.

May it dwell among all creatures,
Trees, herbs and ground creepers,
May it cover the whole universe
Helping its beings survive and flourish.

But above all, here mentioned,
May it settle in the mind of Man,
Making him aware of its supreme value,
As fountainhead of true happiness.

I know in these tumultuous times,
Songs of peace may sound inaudible,
But still stick to my firm belief
That a peaceful world is ever desirable

Hence, keen I am to celebrate this day,
To promote bonhomie around the globe,
Welcome everyone that joins this campaign
Together we shall carry it on.

(Composed on International Day Of Peace)
