Some Tale

Warrior

Warrior

written by: Kriti Mangal

I thought I could keep my weary sword down for a bit,
for you won’t harm me.
But you!
You saw my wounds and you knew I wasn’t armed.
But you!
You hugged me so tight that I didn’t realize that warmth was not love,
it was you carving my wounds deeper,
it was you cutting on my body,
making me bleed for the world that wronged you.

AND FINALLY! I FOUND MY SWORD AGAIN.
