A Glimpse of Me

A Glimpse of Me

I was once a genius in my dreams; I’ve always had some sort of adversity; I have a heart that aches as if it doesn’t belong to me; I always feel a sense of undignified anxiety

Everything seems to be wilting inside me; even that knowledge I once craved is now just a distant memory

Every pondered deliberation feels the weight of my unintended scrutiny; knowing there’s so much more unwritten poetry to be composed, I’m just out here speculating if my words are surrendering a glimpse of who used to reside inside me
