A Sudden Rupture

A Sudden Rupture

written by: Ayesha

Stuck in a play,
The scenes untold-
The ephemeral chapter ends,
Enough to hold yet too brief to satiate.
The walls grow taller, fences stronger,
The guard is up,
And the bond sets like dawn.

A chapter, not the story,
A lesson learnt;
Haunting scenes burnt,
The ashes remain, still existing,
Haunting and enchanting.

A thread so weak, so frail
Broke with a tender nudge-
The birth of the question,
Unsettling dialogues,
Unsettling minds,
Layered with a cold shoulder,
a reminder of abandonment and rejection.
