Anam Cara

Anam Cara

Two sides of the same coin
Kindred souls
Haunting each other’s space
Not seen
Just felt
Stars cross
Stars align
Still star crossed
Together in spirit
For a reason
Or for a season
Maybe both
Never meant to be
But meant to have been
Never will be
But will never cease to be
Together in spirit
Never seen
Just felt
Cloaking each other in warmth
An eternal embrace

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Anam Cara is Gaelic for “Soul Friend” – the person with whom you can share your deepest thoughts, feelings and dreams. In Celtic tradition, an Anam Cara is the truest friend, connecting emotionally and spiritually. Unlike soulmates, that most think of as romantic, the focus of Anam Cara is on friendship, though can be more.
