And So Did I

And So Did I

written by: Sapto Mitra

He said that we were bound,
And so did I,
But when I fell hard on the ground,
He would never cry.

He said the world rotates in us,
And so did I,
But when he learnt about my curse,
He would never sigh.

He said he will fetch me the moon,
And so will I,
But when he saw me dying soon,
He turned his eye.

He said that we’re meant to be forever,
And so had I,
But when I got a deadly fever,
He never came by.
