Argentina, a poem by Kenneth Vincent Walker at Spillwords.com

Argentina

Argentina

written by: Kenneth Vincent Walker

Beneath the Argentinean sensual breeze
An ominous cloud looms on the horizon.
Almost too incredulous to believe,
A scuttled U-boat off the vast shoreline.

An ominous cloud looms on the horizon.
Aided by fear, greed, and culpable silence.
A scuttled U-boat off the vast shoreline.
Fears of a lunatic’s exit plan arises.

Aided by fear, greed, and culpable silence,
From Spain, and the church, to the Canary Islands.
Fears of a lunatic’s exit plan arises,
His death but a ruse amid all of the violence.

From Spain, and the church, to the Canary Islands,
Include Russia and America among the culprits.
His death but a ruse amid all of the violence.
The swastika flies in the Americas in defiance.

Include Russia and America among the culprits,
Beneath the Argentinean sensual breeze.
The swastika flies in the Americas in defiance,
Almost too incredulous to believe.

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

My poem is a poetic summary of the compelling events thoughtfully laid out in this remarkable series (Hunting Hitler) which I highly recommend.
