Danae Spyrou comes from Athens, and although she has lived in five countries, she fell in love with Portugal the first time she visited Porto in 2015. Since May, Lisbon is her home, where she befriends neighborhood cats and enjoys ginja and the ocean. She is one of the founders of the anarchist zine Anomie, where she writes pieces on feminism and women’s rights, and founder and curator of Litehouse, a literature project aiming to promote poetry and literature from second-language English speakers. In Lisbon’s rich literary and cultural history, she found fertile ground to further expand her projects, by running a poetry workshop.
