I'm an elderly lady with three grown children, two teenage granddaughters, and many great-grandkids, and two cats. In second grade, my aunt gave me a little book of poems called "A Child's Garden of Verses" by Robert Louis Stevenson. It didn't interest me much, so I shelved it and forgot about it for months. Eventually, I rediscovered the little blue book, fell in love with the poems, and often read them. Despite a learning disability, I quit school at sixteen but later earned my GED at 43. Over the years, I stayed busy caring for home, family, friends, and pets while working outside. I pursued painting and found a liking for writing poems. Now, with rheumatoid arthritis, I've created a website for my art and poems. My simple writings reflect memories, imagination, life experiences, and my struggle with arthritis.
