I am 79 years old. I was born in the oldest neighbourhood in San Francisco, Dog Patch, and brought up first in a project called 3rd and Army, then a flat in the Fillmore District then at the age of seven found myself in the wonderland of the Haight-Ashbury District, a complete turn around from fighting every day to looking for bullies to leave the little kids alone. I sneaked out at night to enjoy the delights of North Beach just as the Beats were dissolving and Latin music with progressive Jazz moving in. That inspired my jump into travel, starting with Mexico and that inspired my fanatical inclination into sailing, the last freedom and the Sierra Nevadas. I have started two maritime heritage preservation organisations in the Caribbean and now live with my partner, Katya, and our two children, Zacary and Skye. I have finished two novels, published two magazines in the Caribbean, and have too much written material in most genres for any one person. Can’t stop writing.
