Ilyse Gail Fein is not a poet, but she wrote one and is happy with how it came out. She spends most days practicing tai chi, taking walks in parks, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is a political humanist and proud Democratic Socialist. She was born into a secular Jewish family in Chicago, and currently lives in Urbana, Illinois with her husband Vern and their dog, Butter.
