Since retiring in 2024, from a 23-year career in education, Jayne has spent much of her time reading and writing (she is not so keen on arithmetic) as well as caring for elderly parents. She lives in the South East of England and is looking forward to her husband’s retirement, when they plan on exploring as much of the UK as possible. Many of her flash fiction pieces have been published in Christopher Fielden’s writing challenge anthologies, and her story “The Birthday Present” is part of the record-breaking 81 Words anthology. Her one published book to date is Haunted School, part of Hodder Stoughton’s Livewire Chiller Series.
