Jianan studied classical music performance and American Studies in Germany. He endeavours to craft life into words. Now based in Vienna, where he continues his studies, he volunteers as a water rescuer on the Danube, patrolling from bridge to bridge with his team. He believes that every person is a swimmer and every swimmer is a water rescuer—that water frees us, endangers us, and shapes us.
