Aberrant Realities

Away

Away

written by: Melissa Lemay

I started writing you
at least four letters,
probably more.
All the things I

want(ed) to say.

I never finish(ed) one.
Reading them later,
I never feel the same.
So I throw them all

away.
I loved you
in a space that was full, along
the tree line by the sea;
the rip current
taking me under
and

pulling
me

away.
