Bitterness

Bitterness

written by: Tracy Lord

When I was young you took my mum
Stop hurting me,

When I pulled myself back up
You gave me a man who abused my love,
Stop hurting me,

You gave me a child who was going to grow into a vulnerable victim
Stop hurting her,

She gave me grandchildren who were hurt by the authorities
Stop hurting them,

You gave my dad cancer just like my mum, So you took both of them
Stop hurting me,

You gave me a man I loved who walked away
Stop rejecting me,

You gave me a grandson to fill my heart with joy on Friday
but by Tuesday, he was gone.

Stop breaking me ….
