Breaking is the Lonely Truth

Breaking is the Lonely Truth

written by: Tristan

Through glasses, obscured light is received,
But not discerned,
Bent in rooms of refraction,
But not reflection,
Are the eyes beheld at the mercy of receipt,
Not the willingness to see,
Turning from the light we will find the release from the lonely truth,

The only truth,

Bent once is never bent again,
And yet we mock the mirror of our tears,
Shed and shed and shed,
The waters of that loosen our grasp on the lonely truth,

The only truth

Here it stands as a pillar of our strongest desires,
To kneel before our hearing of final judgement,
Here it lies, our surrender to the deepest, merciless currents underway,
Into the deep we dive, into the depths we are sought, we have sought, the lonely truth,

The only truth

And now, blind, to the salt of our tears or the salts of the seas?
Are wherefore?
And now here we are, where has it gone, and for so long?
Our light,
Our truth,

The only truth,

Washed ashore with a dizzying maelstrom of,

Light?

So the pillars stand before us,
Pillars of salt, of glass,
The sands of time are in our grasp, not in sight,
But we know it’s there, so we stand in their converging shadows,
But where do we start, where do we see the lonely truth,

Our only truth?

In a mightily displaced array,
A dazzling display shone in our shadows,
In the absence of our light, so we take our glasses,
And we sing songs to the wind and sea of our freedom and mercy,
Sand stuck to hand, tears running and seas all embracing,
Ever-changing and always there, we learn to let go,
Into its depths we are drawn, we are sought, we are taken,

Held in contempt of the truth.
