Tea Solon enjoys drinking coconut water any given day. She runs the Butung is Layp (Coconut is Life) blog. A former academic, Tea holds an MA in Literature from the University of San Carlos and a PhD from the University of San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu City, Philippines. Her Cebuano Visayan poems have found a home on the pages of Kabisdak, and her English poems have appeared in Spillwords and Gobblers by Masticadores, among others. Tea collaborated and published three books: SOLON DESCENDANTS Poetry and Creative Expressions from 3 Generations (2022); DEW OF MY MEMORIES Collection of Poetry in Cebuano and English (2022); PALWA (2023), her first collection of poetry. Her pieces also appeared in poetry anthologies: DAGAT UG KINABUHI Translating Contemporary Cebuano Poetry (2022) and the #1 Amazon Bestseller PETALS OF HAIKU: An Anthology (2024).
