The screen is dark, though slightly lighter than the monitor, and the haiku is displayed here in off-white System Bold font. A yellow-white, circular glow surrounds the monitor, emphasised by a white, bevelled, hand-drawn circle with lines radiating toward the monitor, some seeming to break in and onto the screen as flat, white lines. The whole thing is surrounded by profound darkness.
I am mostly a visual artist, but I like to create "found poetry", specifically daily haiku made from the statuses of my Facebook friends. It was my Mom who started this, and officially passed the responsibility onto me when she became too busy.
