Christmas Lights

Christmas Lights

written by: Robert Walton

Christmas Lights
And seashells are much the same,
Shining sunrise red,
Orange as poppies,
Amber as pools beneath redwoods,
Emerald as new grass
On the third day of rain,
And silver as the
Rain.
They rest
Where chance tides
Or human whimsy
Have left them,
And sparkle
With the starlight
Of children’s laughter.
