Breathless, I am waiting
for my beloved to return.
Being apart from him this day
has made my heart yearn.
Missing him so very much
for he’s my world, you see.
Two halves made whole the day we met.
My husband was custom-made for me.
When I see his face and hear his voice
my heart will rapidly beat.
When I feel his touch and lips on mine
My love and I will be complete.
I have always had a love affair with books and am an avid reader. I recently started writing poetry and have fallen in love with it. Expressing myself through the written word is a great release. Sharing my work with others and being welcomed into the communities of other writers is amazing.
