Arrogance and defiance is
All the rage in this Age
Of Disinformation which is
Pumped out like a bilge.
For sediment and silt have
Clogged up all we’ve built
In making this civilization
Now teetering toward tilt.
We’ve tried rationalization
Which hadn’t worked as we
Intended. For ignorance is
As if time were suspended.
In fact, we are regressing
In this human experiment to
The point where we’ve been
An embarrassment counter to
The Age of Enlightenment.
