Darkness

Darkness

written by: Bipul Banerjee

Let me move into the darkness
Without a ray of light
For darkness has its own soul
I carry my darkness within
To meet the calm spread of a larger universe
There are no opposites
No oppositions
No hates
But acceptance of mutual wounds
Those that have stopped oozing but are yet to heal
Covered by dark shades
Camouflaged by calmness with a chaos within
When the lightless meets the one without a shine
The density increases manifolds
The appreciation dawns to acknowledge the existence
Yes, darkness is real and can persist for long
The fatigue of all that is bright
Sometimes takes a toll
For we want to then settle with what is dark
The uncelebrated
The unseen
The underestimated power
Of subtle strength
Torching it away always is not advisable
Let it persist for a while
Make you pause
Wonder
How illusive is the light?
