Domestic Hell

I have a story to tell.
It’s about domestic hell.
No one deserves to get hit,
no matter the cause of it.

Children deserve so much more.
It will affect them to their core.
What they see, they can’t forget,
so don’t make them have regret.

Watching all of the drama,
of daddy hurting momma,
with his words or with his hand.
They will never understand.

You may not like to be told,
what can happen or unfold.
But what I speak is the truth,
it is how I spent my youth.

For what is reaped, will be sown.
Just as long as it is known,
that what they see, they will do.
Please don’t make them become you…
