Dream Date

Well, I’m here, on time, but he’s nowhere to be seen. I’m sure he said 11.30, and I don’t get things wrong, especially when it concerns him, the love of my life. And now he’s realised that he feels the same way, otherwise why would he have asked me to wait here in these beautiful gardens? He must have chosen this spot deliberately, the entrance to a romantic garlanded walkway, with the heady scent of musk roses filling the air.

OMG, is he going to propose? No, I really must be sensible. He’ll ask me to move in first. His place is lovely, I’m sure, I’ve seen the outside umpteen times, though not the interior…yet. He’s so discreet at the office, but it’s those little hints that only a sensitive woman like me can pick up. The number of times he’s told me that there’s someone special in his life, looking straight into my eyes until I feel dizzy with desire. Of course, office protocol forbids him from responding to the little notes I slip into his suit pocket when I take in the daily sales figures.

But today, in this tranquil spot, with the birds flitting amongst the greenery, we can openly admit to our feelings. It’s certainly a lovely place, they should do weddings here. What a coincidence, that looks like a wedding party at the other end of the perfumed path. I would love him to see this, but where is he? Oh, there he is!

Oh, there he is…
