Fractured

Fractured

Pieces unfitted strewn
across a carpet bare
Shattered heartbeats fragile
worn with frightening care

Unwashed deliverance
beneath a godly stare
Emptied sins like crimson
stations, buyers beware

Sifted madness fleeting
with nary stream or fare
Orphaned conscience taking
sanity from our wares

Flight into dark shadows
naked this cross to bear
Unsettled wings soaring
like leadened wreaths despaired
