Ghost

Ghost

written by: Beth Tremaglio

@TremaglioBeth

The heavens poured out her due,
wings bathed in strife
gluttony flung itself over cities and towns
ravenous structures fed by desperate streets,
the flesh sleeps with debt
wantonness like a ghost walks by daylight
tugging at the sleeve of survival.

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Wars are not only physical but also spiritual. People within cities and towns press against governments for survival.
