Good Enough

There’s nothing that I say or do
that ever seems good enough for you.
Just speaking out loud to talk out my thoughts
you turn the table and accusations are brought.
Though a road map to my moods with love is given
still the paths of my own making remain undriven.
I don’t know how much more I can give.
Just want to repair my life so I can really live.
We both have so much at stake
since the two of us the equation makes.
Together a compromise must be struck.
In time we’ll clear away this self-made muck.
For without you, I’m nothing but a scared little girl
clumsily making my way through this very cruel world.
I have always had a love affair with books and am an avid reader. I recently started writing poetry and have fallen in love with it. Expressing myself through the written word is a great release. Sharing my work with others and being welcomed into the communities of other writers is amazing.
