Having an Affair

Whoever knows me. Knows the truth
I’m having an affair with Him
Not in heaven but here, in Hell

Whoever knows me. Knows the truth
He is too old to be romantic enough
Yet he embraces with His heart in love

Whoever knows me. Knows the truth
He tried His best to create a heaven
But in vain and lost everything in Hell

Whoever knows me. Knows the truth
Everyday He suffers with me and others
Like those mothers with stillborn babies

Whoever knows me. Knows the truth
He too cries aloud deep within, Like
The dead soldiers buried under the lies

Whoever knows me. Knows the truth
He tries hard to unearth the truths
Like the revolutionaries engaged in fights

Whoever knows me. Knows the truth
He too draws the sketches of God
Trying to match everything in details

Whoever knows me. Knows the truth
I too believe in harboring faiths
Like Him and others living in Hell!

Gabriella Balcom writes fantasy, horror, romance, sci-fi, and more, and has had 551 works accepted for publication.
