How does it feel
When you’re losing your mind
Could it be
a slight tremor
An undertone of discord
A sensation of sinking
Of clawing your way from quicksand

Or is it an orchestra playing
Loudly, on repeat
A marching band of insanity
That tramples on your psyche
Leaving you broken
Disjointed
Dissociated

Oh could it be
That both exist
At the same time…
