I Became a Warrior

I Became a Warrior

written by: Andrea Walker

I became a warrior
You forced me, into this fight
You deprived me of my children
And took away my right

You turned me into a warrior
This new person, I had to become
When you tore my world apart
When my babies were gone

And I was left broken
I was devastated and bereft
So I chose to take up arms
When they suddenly left

So, don’t blame me
For what happens, from now on
When I show the world
All that you’ve done

How many lost children
And parents missing out
As we stand together
And tell the world, what it’s about

Don’t live in your denial
Don’t try to silence us
We won’t be put down
We have a right, because

You made us stand up
You made us roar
You, and those like you
Who taught our kids, us to ignore

Everyone of you alienators
Should hang your heads, in shame
You get called mum or dad
We are known only by first name

You’ve stripped us of everything
Our children have no clue
We had to become warriors
Wouldn’t you have, too?

We won’t stop fighting
Till it’s out in the open
Till everyone is educated
And our plight of, is spoken

No more hiding away in the dark
We will bring this out into the light
Parental Alienation is the war
And this is our fight

You made me the warrior
That stands before you today
It’s time to change laws
Judges we will sway

Corrupt family courts
Will become a thing of the past
When laws are changed
They’ll be changed to last

Accept that you caused this
Everyone of you, who alienated
We are fighting for our children
That cannot be under stated

And we won’t give up
Until they are back in our lives
Until justice is served
With an end to this plight

You made me the warrior
You made me your foe
I tried to keep peace
You sought to control

And now I’m changed
I’ll never again be
The person you left
Now, I’m all that you see

So, understand this
I’ve taken back my strength
I’m making a stand
We will be victorious in the end

Our children will return
Because love conquers hate
And future generations
Won’t need to alienate
