I Dream

I Dream

written by: Nada M. Sobhi

I dream of being a dew
Hovering in the sky, exhaling,
Yearning to embrace a meadow
Washing its roots dark and pale
Then lost in time’s unknown gale

I dream of being a lighthouse
lightening the way for every stray
In the morn I am the hope ray
In the night I am the fixed ally

I dream of being a lyrical long poem
Where wanderers rest in my cozy room
Where they can share their secrets’ gloom
Or celebrate with me their exquisite bloom

I dream of being a mere dream
Fleeting, unknown, and unseen
Dissolved with the moon’s gleam
Yet sometimes, even for a second
Remembered by a heart sincere
