Inevitable Alignment

Inevitable Alignment

written by: Alan David Gould

Once vital at birth
Now, after a lifelong transition to homogeneity, noticeably tepid

Transitioned to stasis without potential and no chance of salvation

No more original thinking

The seeds of consciousness melted into white noise

Life’s purpose losing definition
as forgotten milestones slip into conjecture

Just a few steps away from the inevitable alignment with cosmic dust

With the passage of only several generations,
receding back into the universal womb

Unknown and unknowable
